For over twenty years I have been in real estate. Selling it is much better suited for my personality than appraising, but it's not because I'm sales-y. I moved to this side of real estate because I just wanted to help people not make a mistake in buying property. Sometimes I feel more like a counselor, and I talk people out of properties all the time, both commercial and residential, but isn't that what we're here for? To offer our opinion and guide, based on our expertise? Meaning: experience + intuition + industry/market/local knowledge. I didn't switch gears to make it big, I switched so I could be a helper.
